Eventful Weekend

We kicked off our weekend by attending Jeff & Tanya's wedding on Friday night. They were in our first small group back in 2001, but just friends at the time. So it was really neat to see their friendship grow to a marriage! They got married at Naperville Christian Church with the reception held at the Levy (Senior) Center in Bolingbrook. It was a nice place, but can't go without making fun of the shuffleboard floor!

Saturday morning I went to watch John's softball games (one of my favorite things to do!). During the 2nd game, he proceeded to get ejected from the CHURCH game. But, maybe he'll make a separate post about that one!

In the afternoon we celebrated my Mom's birthday with another one of our famous Pinochle Smackdowns! This time we drew new partners (sniffle, sniffle). My Mom & John ended up together and WON - what a nice birthday present. So she got the coveted trophy!

I, on the other hand, was one away from taking home the loser piggy trophy. Better luck next time!

Tonight we continued celebrating my Mom's birthday with (the other side of the family) my Grandparents. We dined at Boston Blackie's then back to my parent's house for dessert. Since I've been enjoying my Crocs so much, we decided to get my Mom some!
